Ive been designing quilting fabric for fifteen years now. Since then, Ive come to realize that quilters are as passionate about their sewing environments as much, if not more than, other hobbies Ive come to know. Whether this passion is creative, collective, or physical, the rooms and studios centered around this creative process never cease to amaze me. The inspiration for Quilted Kitties started with seeing these environments and attending Quilt Market. In my forty plus years of designing for product, cats and kittens are perennially best sellers. My thought was to marry the two ideas as Im sure many quilters get into their projects with a snuggly cat by their side. Or perhaps it’s just an afternoon cat nap in fabric strewn about the studio.
