Aurifil 40wt 2-ply 100% Cotton Thread is slightly thicker than the 50wt thread which makes it ideal for sewing bags, toys or dolls, garments, or when a more defined topstitching or quilting pattern is desired. It also works well for Hand Piecing, Bobbin and Machine Lace, Machine Applique, Machine Embroidery, and domestic and longarm Machine Quilting.

• Recommended Needle size is an 80/12 Microtex/Sharp, Topstitch, Universal, or Denim Needle. Use 40wt or 50wt thread in the bobbin.
